In October, legislation that would increase the number of available permits was introduced to the New York City Council’s Committee on Consumer Affairs. If the Committee votes to lift the caps, thousands of local New York City vendors will finally be able to own and operate their businesses.
But a cap enacted in the 1980s limits the number of available food permits so vendors like me who want to earn an honest living simply can’t.
Instead, we get fined and are put on a wait list to get a permit.
Our inventory of emerging environmental contaminants such as Brominated Flame Retardants (BFRs) and Perfluorinated Compounds (PFCs) also continues to expand.
Wellington currently offers a number of individual native and mass-labelled reference standards as well as many solution/mixtures to support research in these areas.
We strive to provide the most exquisite arrangements and service for individuals and events by transforming thoughts and feelings into floral art, using color, texture, form and style to communicate.
Please feel free to browse our gallery and blog to get a sense of what we do and then visit our order page for our unique approach to ordering flowers.
You can help me and other mobile food vendors throughout New York City achieve our dreams.
Please sign this petition and help us tell City Council to lift the caps!
And there’s a lottery to get on the wait list, and there are over 2,000 people on it—and people can wait over a decade to actually get a permit.
New York City should be the heart in the land of opportunity, but instead, these caps limit opportunity for thousands every year.
We are happy to offer city-wide delivery and an association with a consortium of fine florists, offering outstanding floral design for nationwide and international delivery.
