A buy-out option is available to families who would like to join CNS but are unable to fulfill the in-class co-op requirement.
For these families, CNS offers a buy-out option on a limited basis and at an increased rate. CNS holds one formal parent teacher conference a year.
“Coffee Hours” are held early in the fall as a way to meet and greet other parents in the school.
A school picnic is held in the fall and again the spring.

CNS has one main source of fundraising known as The Little Folks Fair, a Connecticut Shoreline favorite event held on Guilford’s historic Green on the first Saturday in June.
All parents are required to help prepare for and host the event. You will have many opportunities to interact with fellow CNS families.
A parent will participate in the classroom approximately once a month as the “parent helper” of the day.
